Surveillance Equipment
	The sale of products that are designed primarily to record the private oral, wire, or electronic conversations of others without their knowledge or permission is not in itself illegal. However, these items (for example, small, easily hidden transmitting devices such as telephone "bugs", "wiretap" devices, "miniature transmitters", and "surveillance microphones") are illegal if they are actually used to record the private oral, wire, or electronic conversations of others without their knowledge or permission. uwonit does not permit the listing of these products.

The sale of cigarettes, cigars, smokeless tobacco and related products is a matter that is highly regulated and taxed.

Due to the many difficulties inherent in assuring that tobacco sales comply with applicable laws, uwonit will not permit the sale of cigarettes, cigars, and smokeless tobacco.

Collectible tobacco packaging

There may be instances where a particular collectable tobacco package is unopened and still contains tobacco. These sales of collectable tobacco items will be permitted so long as all of the following conditions are met:

• The value of the item is in the collectable packaging, not in the tobacco itself.

• The item description should state that the package has not been opened, but that the tobacco within is not for consumption.

• The collectable tobacco packaging must not be available at any retail outlet, and packaging must have a value that substantially exceeds the current retail price of that tobacco product in the package.

• Buyers and sellers are responsible for ensuring that any transaction involving tobacco complies with all applicable laws and postal regulations in carrying out the transaction.

uwonit will continue to be a forum for the sale of tobacco-related collectables, including tobacco related memorabilia and packaging (provided you comply with the above policies), which are not subject to the same legal constraints.

Tobacco and tobacco related products

The following items are not allowed to be listed on the site:

• Items that contain tobacco (cigarettes, pipe tobacco, cigars, smokeless tobacco, herbal tobacco) intended for consumption

• Electronic or e-cigarettes.  This also includes any listing of component parts (included but not limited to):  cartridges, atomisers, liquid refills, vaporisers, batteries and shells.

• Nicotine nasal sprays or inhalers (These breach our prescription drug and materials policy.)

• Blunts

• Cuban cigars that don't comply with both our tobacco policy and our embargoed goods policy

• Hookah/shisha molasses that contains tobacco, or flavoured tobacco (even if marketed as non tobacco)

• Images of actual tobacco (cigarettes, cigars, etc.) when selling collectible packaging or cigar bands

The sale of all UK train tickets (including Eurostar tickets) by unauthorised persons is not permitted under the railway byelaws, made under Section 46 of the Railways Act 2005. Therefore, unless you are an authorised seller as described below, you may not list train tickets on uwonit.

In Ireland, the sale of all train tickets (including LUAS and DART tickets) is not permitted under the relevant railway bylaws.

An authorised person means someone acting in the course of his or her duties who is an employee or agent of the relevant train operator, or any other person authorised by the train operator or a person operating any railway assets.

Any person who is authorised as described above must make it clear in the listing that he or she is authorised to sell train tickets.

uwonit does not permit the sale of "choice travel certificates" or similar items, that is, certificates that entitle the holder to some travel related benefit (free or low cost hotel stays) with a variety of travel providers. Travel related certificates are only permitted if they are issued by one specific provider of travel services (one specific airline, hotel chain, cruise company etc.) for use only with that company. For example, gift certificates issued by a specific hotel chain, or vouchers issued by a particular airline, may be listed on uwonit (provided that their terms permit transfer or sale to another person and the issuing company is disclosed). However, a certificate that offers the holder free or low cost travel services with a choice of hotel chains or airlines or destinations is not permitted -- such certificates in many cases require additional purchases that violate uwonit's fee circumvention policies.

The unauthorised use of software or services which can unlock devices, such as mobile telephone SIM cards or which enable access to restricted areas, confidential information, other encoded data or protected data procedures, is illegal in the UK.

Used cosmetics, excluding perfumes, are not permitted for sale on uwonit.

Breaches of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:

• Listing cancellation

• Limits on account privileges

• Account suspension

• Forfeit of uwonit fees on cancelled listings

• Loss of PowerSeller status
